Concord, Ontario, October 9, 2008- DCL International Inc., a global leader in emissions control solutions, is pleased to announce its MINE-X SOOTFILTER® diesel particulate filter (DPF) has received approval from the European VERT (Verminderung der Emissionen von Realmaschinen im Tunnelbau) program.

The VERT program is a comprehensive evaluation and approval program for diesel particulate filters that requires high reduction efficiency of nano particulates over a 2000 hour in-field demonstration period, and testing to ensure no toxic secondary emissions are created. Under the test program, the MINE-X SOOTFILTER® DPF demonstrated a reduction of nano particulates by over 99.7%, and effective reduction of CO, HC and elimination of smoke.

“Over the years, VERT has become an internationally respected program for diesel particulate filters,” said Joe Aleixo, Manager of Technical Services at DCL. “In order to receive VERT approval, one’s product must prove very high filtration efficiency of diesel particulates for sustained periods under real world conditions. We are pleased our product has passed all the VERT requirements.”

The MINE-X SOOTFILTER® DPF is a passive regeneration two-stage system, which contains a catalyzed flow-through filter followed by a wall-flow filter. The DPF can be packaged in a variety of configurations and is scalable to meet most engine sizes for on and off-highway.
